Chicks arrive at St. Augustine’s

The school is delighted to announce that we are proud parents of 5 chicks, currently residing in a special “Brooder box” in the corridor. From the very first day the eggs were delivered there was a buzz of excitement and anticipation. Each morning when staff & children arrived they immediately popped in to check how things are going. Lots of questions and answers have generated a huge amount of lovely work, including displays, booklets and photographs. Children have also been busily naming the 2 female and 3 male chicks. We have had a great time talking and asking questions about the chicks. One of the highlights for the children has been having an opportunity to hold the chicks.
