Year 6 Performs ‘Jungle Book’

On Thursday 7 July, Year 6 performed their end of year production, “Jungle Book” for their families and friends.  A rip-roaring yarn that had the audience in stitches.  Well done to our Year 6 pupils for putting on an outstanding performance. All of their hard work truly paid off. They were simply brilliant children to watch – and highly talented, too! They not only acted but sang and danced. A big thank you to Nisha and Rosie, the face painters, who contributed to the success on the night by ensuring each character looked the part.

A big thank you has to go to Mr Rowe and Mrs Thomas who ensured the singing and acting was to such a high standard. To Mrs Thomas, Mrs Allen and Faith Thomas for working with the children to make the show (drama) such a success and creating all the scenes and backdrop.

Congratulations Year 6 for a marvellous and polished performance. You have certainly made the school very proud of you all.

Summer Fair

A big thank you must go to the PSA for organising the magnificent Summer Fair. The sun shone and there was much merriment and enjoyment. This event could only happen because of the strong support of parents and staff. The different stalls were bursting with children all wanting to either have a go i.e. goal scoring, bouncy castle or wanting to try their hand at designing a bag and cake decorating. The face painting and nail painting was also a great success. Over £1,000 (before expenses) was raised which is a fantastic amount.

Sports Day

Under a wonderful blue sky Sports Day got underway, the children arrived eager and ready to show their sporting prowess and skills. The children took part in a multitude of events: long jump, hurdles, beanbag shot putt, javelin, egg and spoon race, 3-legged race and a sprint. The Infants had house races by year group and the juniors competed for fastest runner in their class. All the children had a great time and showed excellent sportsmanship. Congratulations to St Josephine (blue house) who won the Infant cup and St Jerome (red house) who won the Junior Cup. A big thank you to parents who came along and supported the morning and to Miss Mcguire and staff for ensuring the success of the day.
