Year 5 Trip Royal Observatory Greenwich

Year 5 Trip to The Royal Observatory on Friday 21st June 2024.
Year 5 will be visiting the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to support their learning in Science. They have recently covered the topic Earth and Space, so they will have the chance to draw on this knowledge and deepen their understanding. The visit will include:
• An interactive show which takes students on a journey around the Solar System and beyond. A workshop exploring the Sun, Earth, and Moon where children will be asked to think about the similarities, differences, and the relative scale and shape of these objects.
The children will be travelling by bus from school to Greenwich.
Departing: 9:30am
Returning: 3:00pm
Lunch: The children will need a packed lunch. If you would like the school to provide your child with a packed lunch please indicate via Parent Pay by Thursday 13th June.
Reminder: No sweets, nuts, glass bottles or fizzy drinks.
Children will be required to wear full school uniform, ensure they also have a suitable coat.
Cost: €5.00 to be paid via Parent Pay.
Please visit Parent Pay to give consent for your child to attend this trip and indicate if you are able to assist. This must be done by Thursday 13th June. Without consent your child will not be allowed to attend and if consent is given after the due date the school will not be able to provide a packed lunch as this is ordered a week in advance.
