Strike Action (Click here for latest news)
Dear Parents and Carers,
National Education Union (NEU) Strike
I am writing to let you know the impact of strike action on Wednesday 15 March and Thursday 16 March.
As I explained to you previously, our teachers are all dedicated and hardworking and no one has lightly taken a decision regarding striking. Those teachers who are on strike will not be covered in order to allow the strike
to make the planned impact. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes you but hope that you understand the reasoning behind this action.
On Wednesday 15 March St. Augustine’s will function as follows:
Nursery: Morning Nursery will be closed. Afternoon Nursery children and full time Nursery children can arrive at 12:30pm and will finish at 3pm. Children must have had their lunch when they arrive.
Reception: Reception Class will be closed all day.
Year 1: will be now open all day. (There is now a change of plans, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused)
Year 2: Years 2 will be closed all day.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6: Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be open all day.
On Thursday 16 March St. Augustine’s will function as follows: Nursery and Reception: Nursery and Reception will be closed all day.
Year 1: will be now open all day. (There is now a change of plans, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused)
Year 2: Years 2 will be closed all day.

Children in classes that are open are expected to be in School as usual. If you have any questions please come and speak to myself or Mrs Duffus.
Yours sincerely,
