Years 5/6 took part in a ‘Friends vs Friendly’ interactive workshop this week. The workshop was hosted by Natalie from GAV (Growing Against Violence), which is a registered charity which provides evidence-based public health and public safety education and training for children and young people. GAV’s core principles are: Protection, Prevention and Partnership. During the workshop the children learnt about gang membership and discussed the ways in which gangs recruit through manipulative and coercive techniques. A very positive workshop – A big thank you to Natalie.
