National Education Union (NEU) Strike

I am writing to let you know the impact of strike action on Thursday 27 April and Tuesday 2 May.
As I explained to you previously, our teachers are all dedicated and hardworking and no one has lightly taken a decision regarding striking. Those teachers who are on strike will not be covered in order to allow the strike
to make the planned impact. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes you but hope that you understand the reasoning behind this action.
On Thursday 27 April St. Augustine’s will function as follows:
Nursery and Reception Classes: Nursery and Reception Class will be closed all day. Years 1 and 2: Years 1 and 2 will be closed all day.
Year 3: Year 3 will be open from 11:15am. Children must be brought to the School Office at 11:15am and collected at 3:15pm as usual from the classroom door.
Years 4, 5 and 6: Years 4, 5 and 6 will be open all day.
On Tuesday2 May St. Augustine’s will function as follows: Nursery: Nursery will be open all day.
Reception Class: Reception Class will be closed all day Years 1 and 2: Years 1 and 2 will be closed all day.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6: Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be open all day.
Children in classes that are open are expected to be in School as usual. If you have any questions please come and speak to myself or Mrs Duffus.
