Sports For Champions

In July we will be holding our annual Sports Week and are excited to be welcoming a former England basketball player, Pierre Henry-Fontaine to visit us at St. Augustine’s.  He will be delivering an assembly which I’m sure will be very exciting, speaking to the children about his achievements, demonstrating some of his skills and giving the children a chance to ask him questions.  This event has been organised with Sports for Champions who endeavour to show pupils that, with hard work and motivation, they can achieve their dream not only in sport, but in every aspect of their lives. Each of the children will be bringing home a sponsorship form today as the children will also take part in a sponsored fitness circuit with Pierre, the aim of which is to raise funds for our school but also to help young, unsponsored GB athletes – we would be very grateful for your support!
